Brownies

Ingredients

1/2 cup unbleached white flour
1/2 cup blackbean puree (blend unsalted cooked balck beans in food processor)
2/3 cup reduced fat cocoa powder
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 cup cashews or walnuts, chopped (optional)
3/4 cup unsweetened applesauce
1 cup organic cane sugar
1 tsp vanilla
2 Tbsp egg replacer mixed in 1/2 cup water

Ingredients

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Combine dry ingredients in a bowl. Set aside.

Mix prune puree and organic sugar together in a separate bowl. Stir in vanilla.

Mix Egg Replacer and water together and whisk until very frothy.

Add to sugar mixture and stir to combine. Add wet ingredients to dry ingredients and stir until mixed. DO NOT OVERMIX.

Spoon into a non-stick 8 inch square baking dish and flatten. Bake for 35-40 minutes.
