Bean Burgers

Ingredients

1 Can Black Beans
1 Can Red Kidney Beans
1 Cup Rice
1 Cup Oats

1 to 2 Tbsp Ketchup

Pepper
Garlic Powder
Oregano
Soy Sauce

Instructions

Preheat oven to 350 F.

Mash beans together in large bowl leaving the mixture a bit chunky. Add Rice, Oats, and Ketchup. Mix thoroughly (using hands is easiest). Add the remaining ingredients to taste. If dry add more ketchup or a bit of water. Mixture should hold to gether but not be to soggy.

Divide into eight portions and form into patties. Place on cookie sheet with parchment paper. Bake for 15 minuntes and flip, bake another 10. Patties will firm up as they cook.

Notes

Play around with different seassonings and amounts.
Add sauted mushroms to the mixture for a hearty flavor. Use water to saute and then pulse in a food processor.
